Announcing Coach x Step Up: Coach Foundation Pledges $3M to Nonprofit Helping Teen Girls Fulfill Their Potential

Since its launch in 2008, the Coach Foundation has granted more than $40 million to charities supporting women’s health, education for underserved children, public parks and cultural programs in New York City, and disaster relief around the world. In celebration of Coach’s milestone 75th anniversary, the Coach Foundation is investing its efforts in a new generation.

As a brand that has always designed for confident women, we’re proud to announce a multi-year partnership with Step Up—a nonprofit organization offering teen girls from underserved communities the support, confidence and connections to turn big dreams into big plans.

Step Up works with girls in the U.S. through all four years of high school, offering after-school and mentorship programs that help them find their voices, sharpen their sense of self-worth, and explore different possibilities for their future.

The Coach Foundation’s $3 million pledge will bring Step Up to new cities and triple the number of teens in Step Up’s programs over the next three years. Our initial grant helped Step Up expand to its first new city in 10 years, Dallas, and today there are over 1,400 girls enrolled in Step Up programs across Dallas, NYC, Chicago, and LA.

Since the start of our partnership, Step Up teen ambassadors have also had a chance to experience some of the things that make us uniquely Coach (like touring our Global Headquarters and attending the press opening of Coach House on Fifth Avenue) and get advice from Coach senior leadership.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing places this collaboration will take us, so stay tuned as our story unfolds.
