THE 2017 LEW AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED


This year 66 Coach, Inc. team members from around the world are being honored with a Lew Frankfort Award. Each “Lew Award” winner was nominated by Coach, Inc. leadership for championing and embodying one or more of our values. Their determination, passion and positivity are an inspiration to all of us.

  • What does winning a Lew Frankfort Award mean to you?

    Winning a Lew Frankfort Award means so much to me because I've been and continue to be challenged more than I ever have in my professional career, and as a result, I'm building such valuable skill sets and hitting a new threshold of my own potential. And to be recognized for it all gives me fire to keep pushing myself!

  • What does winning a Lew Frankfort Award mean to you?

    “It’s the icing on top! I already get to work with people that I truly enjoy, in a supportive/collaborative/creative environment, and just being recognized for the work I do as a part of this incredible team is even more humbling, more validating, and very much more so appreciated.

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    Our team really embodies the Coach value of fusing creativity and logic. Visual Merchandising is more than making things look pretty – it’s like solving a giant word problem. You have to take into account the business, the brand message, the color and silhouettes of the product and figure out how to make it work cohesively in a visually appealing way.

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    In addition to developing leather for all of the various Coach handbag categories, for a little over a year I've managed the leather development for Stuart Weitzman handbags as well.

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    Last summer I had a chance to be part of a panel for the CFDA + NYCEDC Fashion Forward/Ladders for Leaders internship program, where I & several other fashion industry professionals were given the opportunity to share insight and career advice with a large group of fashion students. It was a fun and rewarding experience and was great to get to meet a variety of industry leaders as well as the next generation of fashion talent!

  • What is the best piece of professional advice that you have received?

    Stay curious, and don't be afraid to go beyond your comfort zone.

  • What is the best piece of professional advice that you have received?

    Whatever you decide to do, always put your best foot forward as you never know who's noticing the work that you're doing.

  • What does winning a Lew Frankfort Award mean to you?

    I feel honored to be recognized amongst all of the talent at Coach. Along with my colleagues, I strive to think outside the box as Coach progresses in its transformation as a brand. To be honored and empowered as a designer and professional is an amazing opportunity.

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    One of my favorite parts of my job is when I get to host informal focus groups with handbag purchasers and collect data about how they shop, what motivates them to purchase, and what they think about Coach!

  • What is the best piece of professional advice that you have received?

    Create your own path and be kind to everyone along the way.

    So much! It's an honor to be recognized by Coach, to be valued for my hard work and commitment.

    Motivating, engaging, and fun!

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about

    The Rexy bag charm has been the coolest product I have ever worked on. We have put a lot of effort and time into exploring and engineering the construction of product at the development stage. We are so glad to see the consumers loving it and people posting pictures holding it on social media.

  • What is the one Coach or Stuart Weitzman product that you cannot live without?

    My 50/50 boots!

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    The coolest thing about my job is the variety of work that I do and the opportunity for personal growth. No two days are the same. From being involved in multiple projects, traveling the world, working with excellent peers at Stuart Weitzman and Coach, my job is especially rewarding.

  • What is the best piece of professional advice that you have received?

    Don't take for granted the people that surround you. Take advantage by engaging and asking questions as much as possible. The things you learn are often unexpected and will open new doors and ideas that serve as major stepping stones in your approach to daily challenges.

    Water buffalo wallet that I bought at Coach House in NY.

    To be nominated for this award alone, is a true honor. But to win, is a massive privilege and a huge milestone in my career. I am so proud to represent this amazing brand and contribute to its growth and success as we embark on our exciting journey in Europe.

  • What does winning a Lew Frankfort Award mean to you?

    I feel incredibly lucky, thankful and proud that I have the opportunity to work for a company that embodies many of the values that I try to live my life by; receiving this honor is a great reminder of just that!

  • Tell us something about your job that most people do not know about.

    I worked at Coach as a holiday part-time cashier and have now been lucky enough to work for Coach in 13 different countries.
